Description
The Quality Manager, Weld Manufacturing will:
- Develop and analyze quality data to maintain and improve product standards
- Establish and implement quality control objectives in alignment with production goals
- Oversee inspection and testing processes to ensure compliance and reliability
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality
- Manage nonconformance and corrective action programs
- Conduct risk assessments during contract review and quoting processes
- Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits (AS9100, ISO9001, Nadcap)
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions
- Verify and approve vendor certifications and Certificates of Compliance
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment
- Oversee welder qualification programs and related compliance documentation
- Facilitate safety meetings and maintain regulatory safety compliance
- Be onsite at our Chicopee, MA facility
Profile
- Experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, and Nadcap standards
- Expertise in nonconformance and corrective action management (NCR/CAR)
- Background in risk assessment and contract review processes
- Proficiency in internal and external auditing, including regulatory and customer audits
- Ability to update and maintain quality procedures and work instructions
- Experience with supplier quality management and certification verification
- Strong leadership skills to oversee inspection and testing activities
- Familiarity with calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment
- Experience with welding and brazing qualification testing (preferred)
- Knowledge of safety regulations and committee facilitation
- Strong problem-solving skills to address customer complaints and process improvements
