Job Description
The Quality Manager will be responsible for:
- Acting as the quality management representative.
- Driving initiatives to reduce PPM defect rates by leading cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities.
- Reviewing customer quality complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and maintaining clear communication with customers regarding the quality actions taken.
- Participating in APQP meetings to identify potential process failures and working with the manufacturing team to minimize defect PPMs.
- Overseeing the establishment of supplier requirements and the approval of supplier PPAPs.
- Managing the submission and approval of PPAPs, ensuring they align with customer specifications.
- Interpreting print specifications, determining appropriate measurement methods, setting gauging requirements, and assessing the use of CMM to ensure accurate measurement systems.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful quality manager for this client will have:
- A college degree in engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- 5 years of quality management experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
- ASQ certified quality engineer/manager or relevant experience preferred.
- Training in IATF 16949 Quality Management System and Auditing.
