Job Description
- Coordinate the billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of client services and expenses.
- Prepare and review billing statements, ensuring compliance with firm policies and client agreements.
- Assist attorneys and legal assistants in resolving billing discrepancies and addressing client inquiries.
- Maintain billing records and documentation, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with the collections team to monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Generate reports on billing activities and revenue metrics for review by management.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of billing processes and systems, identifying areas for increased efficiency.
- Support special projects related to billing and collections as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least three years of billing or accounting experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with billing software like E3 and QB.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
