Superintendent - Commercial

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects within the healthcare and higher education sectors across Connecticut.

Description

• Supervise daily operations of construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project progression.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, conducting regular site inspections.
• Address and resolve any issues or delays promptly, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Review and approve work performed by subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Assist in the preparation and management of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are obtained and passed in a timely manner.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to on-site construction teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Profile

• At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on healthcare or higher education projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction management principles, especially within the healthcare and educational sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant construction management software and tools.
• Valid OSHA certification and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
