Our client is a General Contractor with a portfolio of over $1 billion in completed construction projects, specializing in the Multifamily sector. Established for over 75 years, they project significant growth in 2023.

Job Description
Scheduling

• The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager to create, update, and manage project schedules.
• They will develop a Master Project Schedule with a thorough understanding of required construction activities and logic sequencing.
• Daily inspections of units will be performed, and a three-week schedule will be prepared, maintained, and distributed to owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

On-site Management

• The Superintendent will oversee all on-site project subcontractors.
• They will act as quality control representatives, ensuring deficient workmanship and below-quality work are corrected.
• They will mediate issues between subcontractors, suppliers, and staff.
• First aid will be administered when necessary.
• Material requests and deliveries will be approved.
• The Superintendent will assist the Project Manager by overseeing field construction processes.
• They will accompany third-party inspectors (e.g., geo-tech, structural engineer, fireproofing consultant) during site visits for activities directly supervised.
• Deficiencies, problems, and delays will be reported to the project manager.
• A walk-through inspection will ensure passage from local municipal inspectors.

The Successful Applicant

• 3-15 years of relevant construction experience.
• Prior experience in Multifamily or Podium Deck/Post Tension construction is preferred.
• Proven experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
• Effective communication skills and team leadership experience.
• Prior multifamily experience.
• A Construction Management degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction software.
