What are the responsibilities and job description for the Probate Attorney position at Michaelson Law?
Day-to-day activities include:
Probate and estate administration
- Assisting clients with the administration of estates, the probate process and asset distribution.
- Guiding clients through the preparation and filing of judicial documents required for probate proceedings.
- Advising on estate related tax matters, creditor claims, and compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Preparing and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advance healthcare directives.
- Structuring estate plans to address tax concerns, asset protection and wealth transfer strategies.
- Advising client son succession planning and generational wealth transfers.
- Representing clients in probate litigation matters, including will contests, trust disputes and fiduciary claims.
- Negotiating settlements and resolving conflicts through mediation and arbitration.
- Drafting and reviewing trust agreements, beneficiary designations and transfer documents for asset titling.
- Preparing legal correspondence, petitions, motions and settlement agreements.
What we would like you to bring to the team…
- J.D. degree from accredited law school
- License to practice law in Nevada
- Strong Knowledge of Nevada probate law and estate planning principals.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and research skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
