Position Overview: As a Pest Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest issues, assess the severity of infestations, and recommend customized pest control solutions. In addition, you will play a crucial role in driving sales by converting inspections into new business opportunities. This is a client-facing position that requires a combination of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and sales expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pest inspections on residential and commercial properties to identify signs of pest activity, structural damage, and potential entry points.
- Assess pest problems and recommend appropriate pest control solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Provide customers with clear, detailed reports of inspections, including photos and recommendations.
- Generate sales by converting inspections into service agreements and one-time treatments.
- Follow up with leads, customers, and prospects to close sales and build long-term relationships.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of pest control techniques, products, and industry trends.
- Achieve sales targets and goals while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Educate clients on the importance of ongoing pest management and the benefits of preventative services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service through phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or specialized certification in pest management is a plus.
- Previous experience in pest control, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform detailed property inspections and diagnose pest issues.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think on your feet.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of pest control methods and industry best practices (training provided).
