General Summary
Michelman is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our dynamic regional Accounting Team. This critical role, reporting directly to the Americas Controller, is integral to our daily operations, ensuring precise accounting and compliance. Primary Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger in the proper accounting period while following company policy and US GAAP
- Review balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations for assigned accounts and explain changes between periods and between budget and actual
- Active contributor to regional and global accounting projects
- Assist in identification and implementation of improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support financial statement audit and tax compliance activities
- Assist in accounts payable issue resolution; Process vendor payments
- Cross-train on functional areas of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and fixed assets
- Act as a key resource for other functional departments, offering valuable information and assisting in resolving issues.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
