Job Overview
We are seeking a Catering Event Manager to direct all aspects of our full-service private catered events including weddings, corporate, and social events. This role will be the on-site point of contact for clients and vendors while managing event timelines. This role will also include the management of our events team for the duration of the event. This is a full-time, hourly position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, along with strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead event teams in picking, loading, transportation and setup of events, as well as teardown and unpacking
- Provide direction, guidance and training to catering staff, event servers, and bartenders
- Thoroughly checking pre-packing lists to ensure all necessary items are at the event
- Instruct event team in process of food preparation, plating, service, and sanitation on-site
- Checking in with clients during the event to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure all items are appropriately cleaned and put away after events
- Assist with events team scheduling
Skills
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients and guests.
- Knowledge of banquet operations and best practices in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, staff, and vendors.
- Highly organized with attention to detail in executing events.
- Quick-thinking Problem Solving Skills with the ability to pivot plans
Requirements
- Must be available to work most weekends (we are closed holiday weekends including Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and Christmas)
- Must have a valid drivers license with insurable record in order to operate company-owned vehicles
- Must be available to work at a variety of times/days - scheduling is based on event bookings and can range from breakfast to dinner times on Monday-Sunday
- Must be able to walk, stand and lift moderate weights for extended periods
*Experience is preferred but not necessary - we are willing to train the right individual

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
