Position Title: Summer Program Coordinator (Temporary, 8 Weeks)
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Summer Program Coordinator for a temporary 8-week period. This role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and day-to-day management of our summer program. The Summer Program Coordinator will work closely with staff, participants, and vendors to ensure the program runs smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics for all aspects of the summer program, including scheduling, registration, and communication with participants.
- Supervise and support program staff, volunteers, and participants, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
- Develop and implement program schedules, activities, and events that align with the goals and objectives of the summer program.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, tracking attendance, and preparing reports.
- Serve as the main point of contact for participants, families, and staff, addressing questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation of the program.
- Monitor and ensure safety standards are maintained throughout the program.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of program spaces and materials as needed.
- Handle any on-the-spot issues that arise during program sessions.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Previous experience in program coordination, event planning, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic and flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and needs.
- Proficient in basic office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Must be available for the full 8-week duration of the program.
- Prior experience working with youth or in a camp or educational setting is a plus.
Duration: This is a temporary position, lasting for 8 weeks during the summer.
Compensation: $15/Hr
