Summary
Reporting directly to the Head of School and working closely with the leadership team, the Director (Principal) of the Lower School plays a pivotal role in advancing The Roeper School’s mission by leading and providing operational and academic oversight to the Lower School, Stage I (preschool) to Stage V (5th grade) program. The Director works collaboratively to implement an innovative, progressive, child-centered program for gifted learners.

Education and Experience
A master’s degree in education major course work in Elementary and/or Early Childhood Education; or A bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in a related field such as leadership, public policy, management, or administration; and five or more years working in education, education administration, or a similar field, preferably in an educational (pre-K-12) setting.
The school will also consider alternative combinations of education and experience commensurate with the above.
