NOTICE OF INTENT TO EMPLOY
POSITION : Temporary ELA Teacher (position will be posted again in the spring of 2025 for full employment starting the 2025 – 2026 school year)
LOCATION : Fruitport High School
START DATE : January 2025
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate in BA or BX
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Must follow district and state curricula and assessment requirements.
- Knowledge and ability to effectively apply the Common Core Standards with particular emphasis on the teaching, learning and assessment standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member of an effective Professional Learning Community (PLC)
- Ability to use data to formulate and monitor instruction.
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions & Support (PBIS).
- Knowledge of and commitment to use technology as an instructional tool to enhance teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement on a regular basis cooperative learning strategies and flexible grouping strategies.
- Willing to work with a special education teacher as an inclusion classroom.
- Follow and implement all Board of Education policies, administrative guidelines and building regulations.
- Willing to perform other duties as necessary and/or directed by the principal.
- Attendance is an essential job function for this position.
