Position Title: Title I Paraprofessional
Job Summary: Litchfield Community Schools is seeking applications for a Title I
Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. Under the direction of the Title I Coordinator
and a certified classroom teacher, the Title I Paraprofessional provides academic and behavioral
support to students identified as qualifying for Title I services.
Wage: Per the Contract.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Qualification Requirements
o Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and
mathematics; or
o Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness, writing
readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
o ETS Parapro Assessment
o MTTC Professional Readiness Examination’
o WorkKeys®
Education and/or Experience

Anticipated start date will be as soon as possible for the 2025-2026 School Year. The

Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. Under the direction of the Title I Coordinator
and a certified classroom teacher, the Title I Paraprofessional provides academic and behavioral
support to students identified as qualifying for Title I services.
Wage: Per the Contract.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support services under the direct supervision of a teacher, including
- Assist with classroom management, such as organizing instructional and other materials.
- Conduct parental involvement activities.
- Provide instructional assistance in a computer laboratory.
- Provide support in a library or media center.
- Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Superintendent
Qualification Requirements
- Must complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal ot
- Obtain at associate’s degree (or higher)
- Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through passage of an approved
o Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and
mathematics; or
o Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing reading readiness, writing
readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
- Current State Board of Education Approved Assessments
- Must score at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a
