SUMMARY
Michigan CASA is a non-profit organization that establishes and supports affiliate programs across the State that recruit, screen, train, and supervise CASA volunteers. Michigan CASA is committed to maintaining a network of well-administered, affiliate programs that operate independently with mutual accountability, resulting in the highest level of advocacy for all of Michigan’s abused and neglected children.
The Administrative Coordinator, supervised by the Director of Operations, supports the team by coordinating materials and scheduling meetings, compiling financial agreements, tracking attendance and documentation for Board meetings, administering membership renewals, and assisting with special events, marketing, training, and administrative projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the material coordination and scheduling of meetings.
- Compile annual State Appropriation agreements from Local Programs.
- Track attendance and assemble documentation for Board meetings, as well as drafting Board meeting minutes for approval.
- Administer and track Membership renewal documents and invoicing.
- Research and interface with CEO on administrative projects.
- Maintain accurate rosters of Board members and Local Leaders, as well as regular updates to volunteer lists from programs.
- Write donor correspondence as well as occasional press releases.
- Assist with special event planning and implementation.
- Represent Michigan CASA in a professional, ethical, and efficient manner.
- Be adaptable and flexible with Michigan CASA scheduling and work priorities.
- Present your work with a high level of personal and professional written and verbal communication.
- Positively contribute to the Michigan CASA team culture.
- Be available to work 28-32 hours per week, including hours on Fridays.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well willingness to learn database software and other programs utilized by team.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with specific emphasis on business writing/communications.
- Demonstrated organization and planning skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work management and prioritizing skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Professional and friendly attitude.
Compensation. In addition to an hourly rate, normal business expenses will be reimbursed.
