Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our dynamic team in our fast-paced exterior construction company. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the construction field, including basic knowledge of roofing, siding, decks, and the safe use of both power and hand tools. This role is essential in supporting the production process, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, meet our quality standards, and contribute to our overall success in exterior construction.
Administrative Support:
- Organize, file, and maintain all project-related documents (plans, permits, contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, etc.) in both physical and digital filing systems.
- Accurately enter project data into databases, spreadsheets, and project management software.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing communication, including answering phones, managing emails, and relaying information effectively between office staff, field crews, subcontractors, and clients.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, as well as coordinate deliveries.
Project Support:
- Assist with the application and tracking of necessary construction permits.
- Assist in the documentation and tracking of project change orders.
- Support the Owners in updating project schedules and communicating changes to the team.
- Help track material deliveries.
- Assist with communication and coordination efforts with subcontractors.
Field Operations Support:
- Perform site visits as required to deliver documents, pick up information, or take project-related photos.
- Occasionally perform material runs to job sites as needed.
- Take hovers of certain jobs prior to appointment date.
General Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support to Owners and Business Office Manager.
- Assist in identifying and resolving minor project-related issues, escalating more complex problems appropriately.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient office environment and potentially assist with the organization of site trailers.
Qualifications:
- Proven strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address minor issues.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of construction processes is beneficial but not always required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for potential site visits and material runs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
