- Waste Management:
- Empty trash containers as needed, ensuring that liners are properly closed and removed.
- Inspect and clean the interior and exterior of trash containers with approved cleaning products and wipes.
- Discard waste shipping containers and materials.
- Floor Cleaning:
- Operate the floor scrubber with approved cleaning solutions per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Mop areas that are not reachable by the scrubber using clean mops and appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Avoid using the scrubber over trenches to prevent water leakage.
- Use floor scrapers to remove stubborn debris as necessary.
- Buff floors, if required, after scrubbing and mopping, ensuring that exposed product areas are properly covered.
- General Cleaning:
- Wipe down cabinets, equipment, and desks with approved cleaners and wipes while maintaining safety protocols.
- Avoid areas cleaned regularly by production.
- Record Keeping:
- Document daily cleaning activities using the JS0117 QUALITY-Clean Plant-Janitorial Checklist for controlled production areas.
- Eye Wash Stations & Fire Safety Equipment:
- Clean eye wash basins using approved cleaners and wipes.
- Clean fire extinguishers and related equipment with approved cleaners.
- Window and Door Maintenance:
- Clean windows using approved window cleaners as needed.
- Clean the shroud and tracks of roll-up doors.
- Clean Room Maintenance:
- Wipe down equipment bases and damp mop dirt or debris in soft-walled clean rooms.
- Clean vinyl curtains around soft-walled clean rooms using Isopropyl Alcohol or other approved cleaners.
- Record Keeping:
- Document weekly cleaning activities using the JS0117 QUALITY-Clean Plant-Janitorial Checklist.
- Floor Stripping and Resealing:
- Strip and reseal floors as part of scheduled maintenance.
- Scrub/strip floors using appropriate machines and cleaners, following manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use an automatic floor scrubber in all applicable areas, ensuring proper water management and use of safety signage.
- Overhead Cleaning:
- Perform scheduled overhead cleaning, including ceiling joists, light fixtures, piping, duct work, cabinets, and equipment.
- Obtain necessary work permits and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures during cleaning.
- High Clean Procedures:
- Complete the yearly high clean per the preventive maintenance program, cleaning from the ceiling down.
- Record Keeping:
- Document annual cleaning activities using the JS0118 QUALITY-Clean Plant-Checklist.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in janitorial or facility maintenance roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, or wet areas).
- Comfortable using floor scrubbers, buffers, and other cleaning equipment.
- Working from heights.
- Required for job, must be willing to be aerial lift trained along with aerial lift spotter training to perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Full-time position, with occasional overtime required based on production schedules.
- Flexible scheduling for annual maintenance tasks, including coordination with production teams.
