What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Service Management Intern position at Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies?
OBJECTIVE
Service Management Intern, you will be gaining valuable knowledge and experience while providing excellent support to roughly 1,000 users. In this position you will gain experience supporting a modern IT environment containing roughly 1,000 laptops, and 1,500 VMWare virtual desktops.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a learning position that will provide the opportunity to gain an understanding of corporate culture, as well as foundational IT skills.
This IT Service Analyst temporary position would be responsible for (but not limited to):
Provide great end user support including 1st tier troubleshooting and walk-up services to our amazing employees.
Aid our team to create/build knowledge base, document and establish procedures for quick resolution, and educate end-users on self-serve methods. Help educate others as you learn!
Support a modern IT infrastructure! Gain experience working with cutting edge equipment. Including end-user Physical and Virtual desktops, supporting applications, workstation moves, new hires, and more!
Deploy applications using our highly automated Software Deployment Tool to give our customers a consistent WOW experience.
See our company adapt! Help make major changes by providing technical input as change requests are documented, approved and scheduled.
Make required software changes on affected systems to accommodate changes resulting from approved and planned activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required.
