The Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA) is a statewide construction trade association dedicated to promoting the development and improvement of Michigan's infrastructure.
The Safety Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Association's membership needs by handling all safety and training details that contribute to MITA's success with members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and distribute safety-related materials
- Distribute information about changes to safety standards
- Assist in new member recruitment and existing member retention
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of transferable experience in Safety with a construction organization
- An experienced trainer, capable of presenting to groups of individuals
- Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel)
- Excellent knowledge of MIOSHA standards
- Familiarity with writing health and safety policies and procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
