Summary of Position:

MMC is looking for a dedicated Quality Supervisor to perform a variety of tasks while taking pride in their work. Under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for providing quality control and assurance functions that ensure products conform to engineering specifications and meet customer quality requirements by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and reports product conformance to specifications through inspection of raw material, work in process and finished goods inventories.
- Leads root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address non-conformances and prevent recurrence.
- Visits customer sites to determine quality requirements and gathers feedback on current levels of customer quality perception. Establishes and presents regular training for inspection and manufacturing employees on quality issues.
- Develops programs to encourage each employee to perform quality control as a part of their operation.
- Participates in new product development to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans can be implemented prior to beginning manufacturing.
- Reviews and approves supplier quality documentation, including PPAPs, FMEAs, and control plans.
- Visits material and component suppliers to review quality concerns and issues in an effort to minimize inspection requirements at the corporation’s business unit.
- Manages and mentors quality assurance staff, providing guidance, performance evaluations, and development opportunities.
- Supports audits conducted by customers, suppliers, or certifying bodies, ensuring readiness and addressing audit findings.
- Promotes a culture of quality by leading initiatives that emphasize accountability and excellence across all levels of the organization.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 8D Problem-Solving).
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and quality measurement techniques.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed to support training and facility startups.
