Zen Eye Institute is looking for a dependable, highly motivated part-time Ophthalmic Technician with excellent communication and organizational skills to join our team. This position would work 3 days per week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
The role of the Ophthalmic Technician is to work collaboratively with the clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced and complex manual and automated medical tests to allow for proper medical diagnosis.
This position requires excellent computer skills and to communicate efficiently with patients, physicians and other staff members. Must be flexible in work assignments and schedule, demonstrate commitment to ongoing training and uphold to the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
All areas of ophthalmic patient care, including but not limited to patient work-ups, refraction, performing ancillary testing such as OCT, Visual Field and IOL measurement.
1-2 years in a Healthcare setting working with patients
COT or COA certification preferred
