Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic schedule for distributing clinic practice data and summaries tailored to the organization's requirements, including individual physicians, specific locations, and broader organizational perspectives as necessary.
- Identify public/market data that can be utilized in strategic planning.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns with clear objectives in mind while validating to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
- Produce visually appealing and actionable graphic representations of data for clinical and organizational leaders while identifying trends, anomalies, and key drivers using visualization tools.
- Work primarily with large datasets from health systems, electronic health records, and insurance claims data to establish ongoing processes for maintaining quality data and defining quality audit processes.
- Stay updated on developments in statistics and regulatory guidance through literature review, workshops, and professional meetings.
- Communicate efficiently through oral and written channels to understand requests and summarize statistical findings within time constraints in understandable presentations to a non-statistical audience.
- Collaborate with MOS team and occasionally present seminars on statistical methodology.
- All other duties as directed by MOS leadership.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Health Care Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in data analysis, ideally in areas such as health services research, population health, clinical research, or academic medical centers.
- Preference for candidates with accounting experience.
- Experience with Excel at the highest level and Tableau.
- Experience with Power BI preferred.
- Experience with an Electronic Health Record program, ideally Athena.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong knowledge of statistical and analytical tools and techniques, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
- Background designing and implementing data analysis strategies and methodologies, including the use of big data platforms and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights to diverse audiences.
- Experience in managing and analyzing large and complex datasets, including electronic health records (EHRs) and claims data.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable regulations and standards.
- Ability to critically examine and evaluate, problem-solve.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and often time-constrained environment.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks with multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Proven ability to synthesize disparate data from multiple sources and coalesce into an accurate and useful analytic product, incorporating Service and MOS strategic goals for use by leadership in both tactical and strategic decision-making.
