The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning environment, developing lesson plans, and assessing student progress. They will play a vital role in our educational team, supporting students' academic growth and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards, promoting students' reading proficiency and comprehension skills.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring every student feels valued and supported.
- Regularly assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and behavior, keeping them informed and involved.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning community, sharing best practices and expertise.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences, staying up-to-date on the latest educational trends and research.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress, providing valuable insights for data-driven decision-making.
- Provide additional support and resources to students who need extra help, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and encouragement to succeed.
- Participate in school-wide events and activities, such as field trips and assemblies, showcasing our commitment to students' holistic development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Michigan teaching certification with endorsement in subject area.
