Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician Leader to join our team at the Croswell Factory. This is an hourly position working various schedules and is part of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers Local # 262-G.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems in and around the warehouse ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure conduit installation for electrical and instrumentation wiring meets industry standards.
- Verify wire size and number of conductors for electrical or instrument requirements to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets sets, pipe wrenches, hammers, and taps to install electrical and instrument devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits to identify problems and restore equipment operation minimizing downtime.
Requirements
- State of Michigan Journeyman or Masters License required.
- Industrial, mechanical or maintenance background with related experience.
- Completion of Michigan Sugar Company's Electrical/Instrument Apprenticeship program and certification in approved Electrical Trades Educational Program and Instrumentation Instruction.
- Ability to program PLCs and VFDs.
- Familiarity with ladder logic and electrical/instrumentation prints.
- Knowledge of networking and system boot-up.
- Understanding of power grid and power transformers.
