Accountant - Cannabis Industry
Location : Las Vegas, NV
Hours : Monday-Friday, 9 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000 annually
We are seeking a detail-oriented and charismatic Accountant with cannabis industry experience to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, laws, and regulations specific to the cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will not only excel in bookkeeping and financial tasks but also foster a welcoming and collaborative environment for team members.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work closely with the CFO to manage financial operations, including budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state cannabis laws and regulations related to financial transactions and reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to assist in strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
- Serve as a trusted and approachable resource for team members, fostering open communication and support.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense tracking, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide financial insights to support the team in meeting operational and production goals.
