Job Summary:
Design boards for the semiconductor industry’s leading test system provider. You will join a team of experienced design engineers dedicated to exceeding our customer’s demanding semiconductor test requirements. This position reports to the Burn-In Engineering Department and is responsible for designing and developing printed circuit boards, generating drawings using a computer-aided drafting (CAD) program for schematic, assembly, and fabrication drawings, designing layouts for standard and dense, hi-speed, multi-layer boards.
You will be responsible for routing boards for microcontrollers, memories, high speed switches, analog semiconductors, and other components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Layout PCB designs using the CAD system and associated software. Design layouts for standard and dense, hi-speed, multi-layer boards.
- Support ECO changes to BOMs, schematics, and PCBs.
- Maintain existing part library, create new parts to meet MCC standards.
- Prepares and processes basic Engineering changes to existing drawings.
- Create Engineering documentation including CAD modeling, fabrication and drawings that conform to MCC standards.
- Resolves moderately complex design issues by providing consultation and support to Engineering, Suppliers and Manufacturing.
- Provide limited support to lower-level Designers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in related field.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Familiarity with IPC-4101, IPC-6012 and related documents.
- Highly organized.
- Great attention to detail.
- Good computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (GPA greater than 3.0/4.0).
- More than 4 years relevant engineering experience.
- Experience with Cadence Allegro is a plus.
- Sigrity PI and SI experience is a plus.
