Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions for the organization. This includes managing all staff to meet department goals and internal customer needs. This position reports to our Executive V.P. of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specify and manage all network architecture, servers, and programs to ensure integrity, security, and availability of information and applications for users.
- Develop and maintain an IT support system for all employees. Track response times and issue resolution. Implement hardware, software, or training to minimize user downtime.
- Manage cloud-based system software including Microsoft 365 and Infor ERP.
- Develop and maintain back-up and disaster recovery plans.
- Identifies and recommends new technologies and services that will improve efficiency, processes, and operations.
- Work in a consultative fashion with Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Service to provide key metric and data reporting tools. Automate information reporting from the company ERP software.
- Assist department managers in the evaluation and selection of software. Ensure selections are compatible with all other applications utilized throughout the company.
- Manage and maintain records of all computer and networking equipment, software licensing, and maintenance agreements.
- Manage all contracts and contacts with outside support services, including phones, printers, and copiers.
- Directs IT staff. Set metrics for the IT Department and monitor performance to defined goals. Maintain required staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintain a system architecture map including a detailed inventory of servers, switches, workstations, users, and software deployed.
- Manage the process for technology on-boarding and off-boarding of employees.
- Manage remote employees’ VPN and cloud connections and related security.
- Develop and maintain all IT policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- At least 8 years’ experience in an IT Department with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading an IT team with direct management experience.
- Strong database management and report generation skills.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, switches, server networks, cyber security, and mobile devices.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, SharePoint, and VoIP.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, project management, and strategic thinking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Infor ERP software.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
