Overview:

Join our team at Micro Gauge and Mueller Impacts as a Business Development Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in expanding our footprint in the metal impact (extrusion) and precision machining space. In this newly established role, we are seeking a strategic thinker with a proven track record in driving business growth and fostering lasting client relationships. In this role, you will spearhead efforts to identify and penetrate new markets, conduct comparative analytics, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve ambitious targets. This role reports directly to the General Manager of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to penetrate new markets in the metal impact (extrusion) and precision machining industry.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities for expansion.
  • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, including industry partners, and suppliers, to drive business growth and enhance market presence.
  • Lead the development and of marketing campaigns and sales initiatives to effectively showcase our capabilities and differentiate our offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, engineering, and customer service
  • Utilize data-driven insights and comparative analytics to evaluate market dynamics, assess performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to the General Manager and peers.
  • Stay up-to-date of industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to anticipate market shifts and proactively adapt business strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote brand awareness and cultivate strategic partnerships.
  • Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge, industry expertise, and professional skills through training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the manufacturing industry or equivalent experience .
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans, drive revenue growth, and achieve measurable results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and comparative analytics tools/software.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resourceful individual with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
