Performs a variety of detailed accounting duties in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAP) and standard accounting procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Preparing monthly financials
· Reconciling balance sheet accounts
· Preparing monthly work papers
· Preparing and entering monthly journal entries
· Reconciling bank statements
· Daily bank adjustment and cash posting entries – multiple bank accounts
· Sales Forecast
· Job Costing
· Payroll and Accrued Payroll journal entry
· Accounts Receivable – Cash postings and Collections
· Intercompany Accounting
· Backup for Invoicing, Accounts Payable, and Sales Tax Preparation
· Finance Team Lead and backup for Controller
Qualifications and Education
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
· 4 years’ experience in preparing monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement), including preparation and processing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, producing monthly supporting workpapers, reconciliation of bank accounts.
Experience in Job Costing/Cost Accounting, Invoicing, Collections, and Accounts Payable
Proficient in Excel especially with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
Experience with a manufacturing business
Experience using an ERP system is a plus
QuickBooks Desktop experience a plus
Previous Supervisory experience a plus
