Position Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fume Hood and Bio Safety Cabinet Calibration Technician to join our team. This role involves calibrating, maintaining, and ensuring the proper functioning of fume hoods and safety cabinets in accordance with NIST traceable standards and ISO / IEC 17025 requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Calibrate and test fume hoods and safety cabinets to meet safety and performance standards.
- Conduct airflow, pressure, and containment tests using specialized instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance, including filter replacement and system inspections.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, ensuring optimal operation.
- Maintain accurate records, generate calibration reports, and ensure ISO / IEC 17025 compliance.
- Collaborate with laboratory managers and engineering teams on calibration procedures.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance during audits and staff training on equipment use.
