Position Overview:
Two Primary Responsibilities β
Responsible for transforming data from completed laboratory studies into high-quality, error-free
reports to be sent to clients, as well as miscellaneous tasks (possibly including basic lab work) as
assigned.
Responsible for performing administrative duties in relation to working at the front desk and
assisting with requests based on the needs of the lab and management.
Hours:
Approximately 40 hours per week (flexible to accommodate workload) between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM,
Monday through Friday. Earlier or later hours, overtime, and weekends, as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong computer skills including excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Word required.
Ability to understand the business, terminology, and use of data.
Ability to be a self-starter and work cooperatively with others in a small-company environment.
Ability to provide excellent, consistent customer service for both internal and external customers.
Major Duties:
Transform data packs from completed laboratory studies into high-quality, error-free reports.
Write other scientific documents as needed, such as SOPs and forms.
Engineer time-saving processes and templates related to scientific writing.
Perform duties related to scientific document control.
Lead and/or participate in special projects at the discretion of management.
Work with laboratory staff and management to identify and execute process improvements to
increase quality and/or productivity.
Maintain metrics related to report throughput and communicate to management periodically.
Possibly assist with studies and general laboratory operations.
Interact directly and professionally, greeting customers and visitors.
Could perform general office duties such as filing, answering and routing phone calls, processing and
routing mail, coordinating and maintaining calendars and appointments, and ordering, receiving,
and maintaining office supplies.
Provide administrative support as needed for office.
Perform other duties as needed.
