Overview
Set-up Operator (Swiss Style & or Conventional Lathe) is capable and responsible for using an existing program and layout to produce a finished product. This position is responsible for setting up and operating machines for existing products. Once the machine is running, they will operate the machine or assign it to an Operator. Shop is comprised of Citizen and Miyano machines
2nd Shift works 4 tens: Monday thru Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am.
Duties and Responsibilities are:
o Review schedule and identify when a job needs to be setup.
o Interpret setup instructions and documentation for existing products.
o Set up the machine with the required materials i.e. tooling, programs, instructions, attachments, fixtures, programs, etc..
o Complete first piece runoff, ensuring setup, order of operations, clearances, and tolerances are correct.
o Perform first piece approval on work pieces.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 1yr Set-up Operator

Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud (85dB - 100dB) for extended periods, therefore, hearing protection is usually required.
- Non-slip footwear (for use in an oily environment) is strongly recommended, as it is regularly slippery.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
