As a Signal Integrity Qualification Engineer/Senior Engineer within Micron’s Global Quality (GQ) department you will be responsible for validating the signal integrity characteristics of Micron’s DRAM and NAND products. This includes defining test methods and specifications, specifying and maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring on-time execution of measurements and data analysis. You will provide functional guidance to laboratory technicians to ensure accurate, timely data collection. You will also collaborate with Technology Development, Product Engineering, and QRA teams to resolve failing/marginal test results, and to ensure that test methods meet company and customer needs. You will also be expected to drive continual improvement, both for efficiency and effectiveness. You will have the opportunity to contribute to innovation at Micron by developing new test methods to keep pace with Micron’s rapidly changing products, solving problems to enable new product introduction, publishing technical papers internally and externally, and sharing knowledge with engineering peers.

Responsibilities And Tasks
- Manage radio frequency (RF) package component testing, data analysis, and reporting
- Develop and maintain test methods and specifications
- Design and maintain software
- Design and maintain hardware
- Interface with internal and external customers
- Drive continuous improvement of test processes and equipment
- Collaborate with engineering organizations throughout the company
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Desired: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Required: 5 years of experience in Signal Integrity Engineering, electrical test and measurement, or related field.
- Desired: 5 years of experience in laboratory RF measurements for Signal Integrity.
- Familiarity with basic electronic circuits, semiconductor technology, and quality and reliability fundamentals
- Experience with laboratory equipment for electrical measurements: Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and oscilloscope at a minimum
- Experience programming in Visual Basic, C , or similar)
- Experience using MatLab to fit complex data sets desired
- Experience with Signal Integrity simulation is a bonus
- Strong initiative and ability to think and act independently
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to work with tight schedules and prioritize competing activities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to collaborate well with team members and drive for results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability and willingness to travel when required

- Environment: Lab and office
- Shift: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, plus on-call availability evenings and weekends
- Physical requirements: Lifting objects that weigh at least 20lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Excellent manual dexterity for handling small devices.
