Join as US Expansion Planning Engineer for a key role in establishing a memory manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho. Calculate capital impacts of new processes and communicate with senior leaders for a smooth transition to high-volume production.

Situated in Boise, you will link different segments of our organization, overseeing manufacturing and cost-saving processes in departments like supply chain, finance, engineering, procurement, production, and R&D.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Optimize the capacity of equipment and lead site- and tool-level optimization studies for efficiency improvement.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes.
  • Complete financial analyses before new capital equipment is purchased, including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing, and equipment repurpose.
  • Handle site tool utilization and capacity planning models to optimize the site’s deployed capital.
  • Design, track, and communicate capital change proposals to manufacturing senior leaders through reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) and formal presentations.
  • Build and implement tools to audit manufacturing capital efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Lead and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in manufacturing.
  • Apply new (e.g., Python, SQL, R) and traditional (Excel, VBA) methods to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields,
  • 2 years experience in capacity planning, business analyst, or process analyst roles.
  • Experience turning complex and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions while working in a highly multi-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a Business-related or quantitative field (Finance, Economics, or similar subject area).
  • Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization and control.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across diverse technical and non-technical groups.
  • Experience working in teams, establishing, and maintaining multi-functional relationships.
  • 1-3 years of experience in crafting and developing web-based reporting metrics (e.g., Tableau, Python).
