Join as US Expansion Planning Engineer for a key role in establishing a memory manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho. Calculate capital impacts of new processes and communicate with senior leaders for a smooth transition to high-volume production.
Situated in Boise, you will link different segments of our organization, overseeing manufacturing and cost-saving processes in departments like supply chain, finance, engineering, procurement, production, and R&D.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Optimize the capacity of equipment and lead site- and tool-level optimization studies for efficiency improvement.
- Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes.
- Complete financial analyses before new capital equipment is purchased, including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing, and equipment repurpose.
- Handle site tool utilization and capacity planning models to optimize the site’s deployed capital.
- Design, track, and communicate capital change proposals to manufacturing senior leaders through reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) and formal presentations.
- Build and implement tools to audit manufacturing capital efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Lead and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in manufacturing.
- Apply new (e.g., Python, SQL, R) and traditional (Excel, VBA) methods to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields,
- 2 years experience in capacity planning, business analyst, or process analyst roles.
- Experience turning complex and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions while working in a highly multi-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a Business-related or quantitative field (Finance, Economics, or similar subject area).
- Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization and control.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across diverse technical and non-technical groups.
- Experience working in teams, establishing, and maintaining multi-functional relationships.
- 1-3 years of experience in crafting and developing web-based reporting metrics (e.g., Tableau, Python).
