Quality Auditor (Finishing)
Two Openings:
2nd Shift (2PM – 10PM)
3rd Shift (10PM – 6AM)
ROLE DEFINITION
QUALITY AUDITOR
SCOPE & AUTHORITY
- The scope of work shall include all Piney Flats site Quality System processes
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- The Position reports to the Quality Supervisor
- Direct reports: None
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up or approve production gages per ISO Standards.
- Conducts final audit acceptance sampling on FLEX-SIL, ACE-SIL, CELLFORCE, and Polyethylene material as it is produced, compares results to allowed tolerances.
- Audits packaged material prior to shipment to ensure label is correct and packaging meets specs. Approves acceptable cartons.
- Assists or performs various process and product studies as requested by QC Manager. (Ex. mat compression, piece count, machine capabilities.)
- Assists in production of samples for sales and delivers same to lab for testing.
- Mindful of cost reduction needs and contributes where possible without sacrificing quality.
- Assists in the collecting, measuring and recording data for Certificates of Conformance.
- Actively participates in quality programs and supports lean initiatives plant wide
- Issues period rework report. (scrap, rework)
- Other duties may be assigned as needed by Quality Supervisor and/or PFT Management Team

- Understand the importance of conformance to the environmental policy procedures and the requirements of the EMS.
- Understand the environmental impacts associated with their work activities and the environmental benefits
- of improved personal performance.
- Understand their role in achieving conformance with the environmental policy, relevant procedures,
and the requirements of the EMS, including emergency preparedness and response
- Understand the potential consequences of deviation from specified operating procedures.
- Comply with all environmental, safety, and health rules, policies, and programs established by the company to the extent of training received.
- Immediately, report any accidents and releases to the Supervisor
- Recognize that adhering to job responsibilities and procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety is a condition of employment.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand for a period of time, bending, and pulling/pushing, reaching, stooping/kneeling and twisting, walk routinely on the production floor as well as moving about in an office and laboratory environment. Some physical lifting involved generally < 50lbs.
- Occasionally sitting and climbing.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma (or GED). Previous Quality experience in a manufacturing setting is desirable.
