Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Wire Bond Assembly Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in wire bonding and microelectronic assembly techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform wire and ribbon bonding using manual West Bond machines on various substrates and components
- Conduct aluminum and gold wire bonding on small pad sizes (down to 0.0007") in high-density assemblies
- Utilize measurement equipment to ensure conformity to specifications
- Assemble, modify, rework, and repair microelectronic subassemblies and systems
- Place and bond miniature electronic components under a microscope
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams
- Apply specialized knowledge of microelectronics assembly techniques
- Use precision measuring instruments and fabrication machinery
- Interpret complex instructions, engineering drawings, and schematics
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in microelectronics assembly (Associate's degree in a related technical field preferred)
- Proficiency in gold wire bonding (0.001" and 0.0007" diameter) and ribbon bonding
- Experience with ceramic and duroid substrates
- Understanding of Hybrid, Multi-chip Module, and RF module manufacturing techniques
- Ability to identify materials used in the manufacturing process
- Capability to work 10 hours under a microscope with good dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
