Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft technologies. Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Collaborate with stakeholders to eliminate technical barriers, provide proactive advice, contribute to product quality and enhancements, and create self-help assets. Serve as trusted advisor or subject matter expert and leverage expertise to maximize functionality of Microsoft technologies. Apply advanced troubleshooting knowledge to improve supportability in product and translate support of top issues into product improvement. Handle and evaluate multiple high priority technical issues simultaneously; manage expectations and ensure effective resource allocation. Responsible for incident metrics such as Customer Satisfaction, quality of support experience, frontline engineer technical readiness, and process compliance. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics or a related field.
Experience: Six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in troubleshooting and providing technical support on issues related to enterprise-level computer infrastructure and cloud and network technologies.
Specific Skills Requirements: Requires at least 6 years of experience in each of the following: Azure server; Azure portal; Windows Hyper-V; Virtualization Platforms; Scripting; and Linux; and 24 months of experience in each of the following: Windows Servers 2003/2008/2008R2; and SQL Server 2008SP1/2008SP2.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code: TSSKT13234c), in Irving, TX is $143,666 to $173,666.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location.
