Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Product Development Technician to join our team. As a key member of the Product Development process, you will play a pivotal role in bringing next-generation products through the release process to a successful manufacturing launch.
Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the Product Realization team in developing assets that complement design insertion into new customer applications, such as evaluation boards, test fixtures, and S2P files.
You will also gather design and manufacturing data during the development process to support new product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Support: Assist engineers in developing documentation for new products.
- Qualification/Design Validation Testing: Perform qualification/design validation testing on new products.
- Test Fixtures and Circuits: Assemble and maintain product test fixtures as well as test circuits.
- Rework and Repair: Rework circuit board assemblies using a soldering iron and common hand tools, including soldering and de-soldering of very small parts (surface mount technology).
- Evaluation Boards and Data Generation: Assist in developing evaluation boards, generating product data in support of datasheets and de-embedded s-parameter files to support customer modeling.
- Lab Equipment and Supplies: Maintain lab equipment and supplies.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Associate's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- The ability to assemble SMT-based PCBs and test fixtures.
- Experience with RF component products is preferred.
- Experience with RF small signal and large signal component testing, including insertion loss, VSWR, IP3, P1dB, noise figure, and switching speed is preferred.
- Experience with RF network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters, and power meters is preferred.
- Good knowledge of electronic circuits and principles.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office suite.
