Job Title: Event Coordinator
Location: Fletcher, NC

Position Overview:
Microtech Knives is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of trade shows, podcast scheduling, guest coordination, and travel arrangements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in event planning, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is critical in representing our brand and ensuring seamless execution of events and media engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Show Coordination:
    • Plan, organize, and execute all trade show events, including booth setup, marketing materials, and staffing.
    • Coordinate with vendors, venues, and event organizers to ensure a successful presence at trade shows.
    • Manage pre- and post-event logistics, including shipping, travel, and reporting.
  • Podcast and Guest Scheduling:
    • Schedule and coordinate podcast recordings, including booking guests and arranging technical support.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for podcast guests, ensuring all details are communicated clearly.
    • Manage the podcast calendar and ensure alignment with marketing and brand objectives.
  • Travel Management:
    • Arrange travel and accommodations for staff and guests attending trade shows, podcasts, or other events.
    • Monitor and track travel expenses to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • General Event Coordination:
    • Develop and maintain a master schedule of events and deadlines.
    • Create event briefs and itineraries for team members and guests.
    • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align events with company objectives.
    • Maintain a detailed inventory of promotional materials, ensuring timely restocking as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in event planning or coordination.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event planning software.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the knife, sporting goods, trade shows, or EDC industries is a plus.
