We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist who has good technical skills, excellent communication, good judgment, and an understanding of the restaurant industry. This position is best suited for candidates who are customer service oriented and enjoy a fast-paced environment. This person must be comfortable asking questions and working in a team environment. Their role is to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve customer concerns via phone and email.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Log all customer contact in the support ticketing system with complete and accurate information
- Troubleshooting both internet connectivity as well as internal and wireless networking issues, reconfiguration of routers and printers
- Connect directly with customers to guide them through onboarding with PrISM from receipt of the hardware to live use of the software
- Train customers on all aspects and features of the PrISM Software
- Develop a strong understanding of PrISM, it’s capabilities, and it’s customer’s needs
- Work with leadership to improve our processes and the customer experience
Qualifications:
- Restaurant/bar background (preferred) or experience with a Point of Sale system
- 1 years Call Center or Product Support experience in software/networking is HIGHLY desirable
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and appease frustrated customers in a positive, sympathetic, and diplomatic way is a must
- Understanding of LAN / WAN networking -- including Windows network protocols
- Knowledge and familiarity of consumer and small business grade H/W; including routers, cable modems, etc.
- Background in client database support
- An Associates or Bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent is a plus
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
- We are willing to train the right individual
This is a direct-hire full-time position. Hours may include occasional evenings and weekends. Benefits include paid sick and vacation time, health and dental insurance and SIMPLE IRA with employer matched contributions. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
