This position will work out of our Jefferson City branch.
Job Overview
The IT Director oversees the IT staff, as well as the day-to-day operations of the bank's hardware, software, and computer networks. The IT Director is also the IT lead for all bank-wide IT projects and vendor contact for the bank's IT products and infrastructure. The IT Director will direct the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and processing problems to improve computer systems. Continuously improve and enhance existing systems by integrating new features or making modifications that boost efficiency and productivity while ensuring system security and internal controls are never compromised.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all systems are active, available and working properly for all bank associates and any issues or requests are resolved in a timely manner
- Manage and audit bank systems and assess their outcomes
- Design, develop, and implement IT procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Proactively identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions
- Lead or assist with the implementation of new technology upgrades and IT projects
- Lead the hiring, coaching, and ongoing development of IT staff through regular one-on-one meetings and a commitment to servant leadership.
- Oversee, evaluate, and monitor updates and proper control structures and procedures are in place
- Manage and work with vendors in support of bank IT and infrastructure
- Oversee and manage integration of multiple information technology systems to ensure compliance and compatibility with all bank policies and regulations
- Maintain technologies, services and support that align with the bank's strategic goals
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related field required
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the Information Technology field or related field required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and, more importantly, gain buy-in from stakeholders when introducing new software or implementing system changes.
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills required
- Proven experience in problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making required
- Strong background in desktop and server management experience required
- Must possess the ability to research, evaluate, recommend, and implement best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of office software solutions required, bank software preferred
- Experience operating in a regulated industry preferred
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
