What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Counselor position at MID-AMERICA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY INC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The individual in this position has the primary responsibility to recruit students for assigned degree programs or certifications. As the primary representative of MACU to prospective students seeking to obtain a degree in one of the aforementioned areas, the person filling this position must have excellent specific knowledge of the degree programs and a superior general understanding of the target audiences for which the programs are designed. Working in consultation with the Enrollment Manager or the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment, this person assists in developing and modifying plans to recruit for these programs. and modifying plans to market these programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supply information regarding the various programs MACU offers to prospective students.
- Provide input to the Operation Specialists (whoever builds the file) in relation to the completion process of student applicant files,
- Assist in the execution of group information events (open-houses or student events, individual appts.).
- Schedule and conduct individual meetings with prospective students as needed, tracking with them until enrollment is concluded at a class start.
- Assist the department at the direction of the Assistant VP in representing MACU at multi-school educational fairs
- Track cohort reports and class starts for the purpose of consulting the Assistant VP about the need to adjust forecasting.
- Maintain regular contact with student leads as well as enrolled students until they have started class
- Initiate contact to a new prospective student within 55 minutes of the 1st inquiry during business hours.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a bachelor’s degree or appropriate recruitment experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet browsing, and social media interface is required. Salesforce, or other CRM, experience preferred. Experience and comfortability using a web browser for day-to-day tasks.
