We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team! Mid America Contracting, Inc. is a growing commercial general contractor based out of Columbia, Illinois that provides service across the country. Responsibilities:
- Provide support to and coordinate with Project and Field Team (Estimators, Project Managers, Superintendents and Project Accountants) to ensure that projects are successfully completed with excellence and great customer service
- Manage and coordinate the administrative details of projects from beginning to end
- Obtain permits for construction projects
- Work with other team members in the bidding process: finding and calling subs; obtaining, entering bids, and printing bids
- Assist with bidding documentation for clients
- Ensure all necessary data and documentation is entered, managed and provided to and received from sub-contractors and client(i.e. Drawings, RFI’s, Submittals, Schedules, Change Events, Update Presentations, etc.)throughout multiple simultaneous project life-cycles
- Schedule and coordinate job hand-off, update, and client meetings/calls
- Interface with client and client representatives to provide updates on project status
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, high tech, paperless environment
- Strong organization, time management and research skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer service/positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- College education preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Microsoft Project experience a plus
- Highly motivated
This role is an in-office position. Compensation will be based on experience.
