Production Technician - Drive Quality and Efficiency in Feed Production

In this largely self-directed role, you'll be instrumental in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment while contributing directly to our commitment to excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Receive and accurately record incoming raw materials, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Produce high-quality feed according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct routine tests and analyses on feed samples, meticulously documenting performance data and ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to interpret test results and optimize production processes for maximum quality and efficiency.
- Proactively identify and report any out-of-specification results to the Shift Manager, contributing to our continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage production supplies, anticipating needs and submitting timely supply orders to the Shift Manager.
- Perform specialized testing as requested by Quality Control, contributing to ongoing projects and studies.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our systems.
- Collect samples for projects and studies according to established timelines.
- Safely operate equipment, including forklifts.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and values.
- Embrace a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong English language skills (reading, writing, and communication).
- Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills (prior experience preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience operating forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
Working Conditions:
This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team. You will be working in a plant environment with potential exposure to noise, heat, dust, and moving mechanical parts. Safety is our top priority, and you will be required to adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 60 pounds, and occasional bending and twisting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to routinely lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and ladders.
- Dexterity to open and close flow valves.
- Ability to occasionally bend, twist, and turn while lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to walk up to two or more miles per day.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring pushing, such as using brooms and shovels.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying temperatures (0 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to use hand and power tools as needed.
