Pioneer new facilities and protocols that improve the viability of organ and tissue donations. We provide affordable, temporary housing for transplant patients and their families. Partner with community organizations to drive donor registration. We meet with schools, clergy, and local leaders to share our cause and our message. The Position

This position plays a critical role in continuous process improvement to achieve excellence and innovation. The role is responsible for facilitating process improvement initiatives from data gathering to sustainment practices. Through collaboration with employees doing the work and leaders this role generates ideas to encourage innovative thinking. Annually, supports the strategic planning process to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence resulting in more lives saved and healed. This is achieved by leveraging Lean/Six Sigma expertise and strong collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare for, facilitate, and sustain improvement Initiatives in partnership with leadership adhering to best practices in change management
  • Provides coaching and guidance for process owners, leaders, and other colleagues to develop process improvement capabilities, support adherence to standard work and ensure sustainment of improved performance.
  • Uses A3 thinking, voice of the customer, process mapping, waste identification, root cause analysis, solution approach, impact assessment, rapid experiments, 6S, standard work, one piece flow, pull, visual management, daily huddles, sustainment walks, and other tools while facilitating a comprehensive and disciplined approach to problem-solving
  • Encourages innovative thinking by asking thought-provoking questions that challenge the status quo to identify issues and help break any existing paradigms.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and proactively communicates data to help stakeholders understand performance of processes and the opportunities to improve
  • Leads the facilitation of Value Stream Analysis for assigned work group resulting in a strategic plan that aligns with the enterprise plan and organization expectations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree. Lean/Six Sigma certification and healthcare experience a plus.
  • 5 years of experience as a Performance Improvement Analyst / Engineer / Consultant or equivalent, applying Lean/Six Sigma principles and tools while facilitating improvement events, daily improvement and strategy deployment.
  • Knowledge of and experience applying Lean/Six Sigma tools, including A3 Thinking, process mapping, waste identification, root cause analysis, visual management, standard work, demand / takt time / capacity analysis and load leveling.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring and use of facilitation skills.
