Responsibilities

- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, medical personnel, and community resources, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in mental health and counseling.
- Facilitate workshops or support groups focusing on specific issues such as addiction, PTSD, or family dynamics.
- Utilize creative therapies such as art therapy or dance therapy as part of treatment when appropriate.
Skills
- Proficient in research methodologies related to mental health practices.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to clinical settings.
- Experience or training in Christian counseling principles is preferred.
- Background in addiction counseling techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with child family counseling approaches is advantageous.
- Clinical counseling skills with an emphasis on trauma-informed care are essential.
- Knowledge of social work practices that support client advocacy and resource navigation.
- Ability to implement art therapy strategies effectively within therapeutic sessions.
