What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roof loader position at Mid-Atlantic Roofing Supply?
The Roof Loader will be responsible for manually loading and unloading roof orders and creating a seamless delivery operation at job sites.
Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to multi-task.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Participate in the manual loading of orders onto outgoing vehicles
- Accompany drivers to job sites to unload purchases to customer’s property
- Report any problems to maintenance personnel and managers
- Count, verify, and manually unload incoming orders and shipments
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prioritize safety and efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma / GED required or one to three months related experience in working outdoors and / or in roofing
- Must be able to physically and safely deliver products
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Excellent customer service skills
