What You’ll Do: As the Safety Department Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading Bi-Monthly Safety Committee Meetings: Develop agendas, review issues, incidents, root causes, and set proactive safety measures for future improvement.
- Oversee Safety Training Calendar: Implement site training schedules, including OSHA inspection reports, forklift, CPR, scissor lifts, confined space, and ladder safety.
- Develop Monthly STKY (Stuff That Can Kill You) Training: Topics include hazardous energy, elevated work, excavations, and rigging.
- Manage Incident Reports: Track injuries, OSHA violations, auto incidents, and maintain incident forms/reports.
- Create and Maintain Emergency Action Plans: Monitor jobsite safety, issue Stop Work Cards, and call jobsite Time Outs when needed.
- Lead Weekly Toolbox Talks and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Updates: Conduct meetings with project management teams for safety reviews and updates.
- Coordinate New Hire Safety Onboarding: Deliver safety training sessions and maintain safety certifications for all team members.
- Maintain Safety Equipment and Supplies: Manage inventory for hard hats, gloves, vests, ear protection, and oversee PPE recalls and inspections.
- Update Safety Documentation: Keep SDS binders current and accompany injured team members to initial emergency appointments.
Who You Are: You are an organized and safety-conscious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about fostering a culture of safety and have a keen eye for detail. You bring:
- At least 2 years of safety experience in a construction or contracting environment.
- Extremely proficient in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms and comfortable leading regular safety assessments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and train teams effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and safety improvements.
- The ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification
- Strong background in occupational health and safety
- Experience in conducting training & development programs
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance
- Familiarity with Workers' compensation procedures

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
