Job Description:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role will oversee workplace safety programs, environmental impact assessments, and the overall health of employees, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage health, safety, and environmental programs to comply with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential safety hazards and environmental concerns.
- Collaborate with management to develop corrective action plans and ensure the implementation of safety procedures and policies.
- Provide safety training for employees to ensure compliance with safety standards and reduce the risk of workplace injuries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, DNR, and Wisconsin Workers’ Compensation laws.
- Prepare and submit necessary environmental reports to regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support emergency response planning and procedures, ensuring preparedness for potential incidents.
- Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify potential risks to health and safety.
- Work closely with supervisors, employees, and organized labor groups to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Serve as the main point of contact for safety-related matters and provide guidance and advice to all levels of staff.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other EHS-related documentation.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Experience:
- 4-7 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment. New graduates with a relevant degree may also be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards.
- Working knowledge of EPA and DNR regulations and reporting requirements.
- Understanding of Wisconsin Workers' Compensation laws.
- Experience with hazard analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and union representatives.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct reports: None. The EHS Coordinator will collaborate with all levels of staff and management.
Work Schedule:
- Flexible work schedule may be required to observe and communicate with supervisors and employees on all shifts.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $97,955.00 per year
