SERVICE WRITER COORDINATOR
Well established, family-owned and operated, Material Handling dealership, looking for a Service Coordinator to join our team. This fast-paced full-time position is based out of our Auburn, Washington branch. We are seeking an individual who takes pride in their work and will play a key role coordinating service to the best customers in the state of Washington.
POSITION SUMMARY
Schedules service work as well as write service repair quotes and orders. Coordinates customer repairs in an organized, professional manner as well as sells additional customer services as required.

Responsibilities
- Schedules and coordinate customer repairs and appointments with Service Department & Office Manager
- Works with Service Manager, Shop Foreman, Office Manager & Outside Sales representatives on incoming service workflow.
- Accurately obtains and documents all customer information and vehicle data.
- Provides customer estimates for labor and parts. If the cost of service cannot be established during the initial call, the quote remains open until approved by the Customer and Service Department.
- If additional repair work is required, this position informs, and explains the details to the customer including any associated charges in quote form.
- Establish and track service work & time promised. Customer Repair work is also coordinated with Shop Foreman and/or Office Manager.
- Follows up on progress of each repair order daily. Contact customers by telephone and/or e-mail regarding any changes in the service estimate or time promised.
- Records any and all changes on repair order(s).
- Handles customer inquiries regarding service work in process and scheduling.
- Establishes each customer's method of payment. Obtain credit approval if necessary.
- Initiates customer follow-up on additional items found in need of repair.
- Ensures common, quick repair pricing guides are up to date.
- Notifies the Customer, Service & Office Manger that work is required with estimate.
- Tracks quotes for service to ensure they are being approved and scheduled.
- Maintain accurate customer maintenance files.
Required:
- World class customer service skills.
- Excellent multitasking. listening skills and communicator.
- Must develop a working knowledge and understanding of Mid Columbia Forklift’s Safety Policy.
- PC and software proficiency as well as quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
- Participates in all available Parts, Sales. & Service training programs.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or greater
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Job Type: Full-time, 8-hour shift M-F. 7:30AM To 4:00PM daily
Salary: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
