THE POSITION…
As an Aviation Repair Lab Manager, you will direct and coordinate lab activities of the top-rated instrument overhaul facility on the West Coast. You will be responsible for managing people, schedules, and equipment to achieve company goals with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and on time delivery. You’ll serve the best customers from all over the world - from general, business and commercial aviation. To be successful in this role, you will need to lead the day-to-day repair station activities and provide outstanding professional support with the knowledge, experience, dedication and integrity necessary to ensure superior customer satisfaction. You’ll be an important part of the process that keeps our customers flying!
THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF…
- You have a high school diploma or GED.
- You have a minimum 10 years of experience in aircraft avionics components.
- You have a minimum 3 years of direct supervision experience.
- You have a working knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations.
- You are proficient with Microsoft Office.
- You have strong attention to detail.
- You are organized, focused and results-oriented.
- You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
- You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
WE WOULD REALLY LIKE IT IF… (but it’s not a deal breaker)
- You have a Bachelor’s degree
- You have management experience in general aviation
- You have experience in a Part 145 repair station
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT…
- Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives for a high-end, technical lab providing world-class repair/overhaul of aircraft avionics components, such as, weather radar, navigation/communication systems, autopilot systems and accessories in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and FAA guidelines
- Review and monitor repair/overhaul activities to meet customer and stock demands
- Coach, develop, motivate, and mentor direct reports
- Coordinate communication with customers regarding quotations, repairs and delivery
- Establish technician schedules to ensure quality and on-time delivery of products to meet specifications
- Prepare and review lab reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays
- Coordinate and interface closely with other departments regarding repair lab activities
- Provide input and analysis on sales forecast
